What do you do all day?
Agony auntcum-fixer-cum-‘Miss, he marked me absent when I was really there’ sorter-cum-typist and data inputter-cum-organiser of meetings-cum-UN peacekeeper.
What's the best bit of your job?
The kids: having a kid who won’t come to school turn up; explaining that it’s not that scary – we’re all bad at something.
Are there any downsides?
Rude returns to truancy calls.
What are your work history highlights?
Going to Story Arms, an outdoor centre in the Brecon Beacons; taking townies outdoors because they really come through. We get to fall in very cold rivers in February!
What is your dream job?
Owning a cereal farm.
What do you like to do in your leisure time?
I’m always doing something outside, walking the dog, or doing up my house – ripping out the Artex.

The Mentoring Process and Day 1 of Coaching for Learning.
What do you hope to get out of the course?
A wider career progression – my main thing at the moment is admin and I want to try something else.
What have you got out of the course so far?
I don’t really know yet – it’s too early to say.
How has the course improved your work with young people?
It’s made me think of different angles as to why young people may behave in a certain way, for instance because of their different learning styles.
