The Learning Coach role is an integral part of an ambitious strategy put in place by the Welsh Assembly Government. Learning Pathways Guidance II states that:
’All learners will have a basic entitlement to learning coach support …’
It should therefore be anticipated that there will be many learning coaches in the future. In some cases an individual may be employed purely as a learning coach, in others the role may form part of their workload. For example, there are many examples of careers advisers, teachers and youth workers fulfilling both roles.
