Five modules will be delivered in the pilot phase. Our operational plan involves initial delivery to South-East Wales, followed by a roll out to North and West Wales.

May I welcome you to this first edition of the Learning Coaches newsletter.
I have taken up the post of Learning Coaches manager, from April 2006, and am based at the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Glamorgan.

Before commencing the Learning Coaches training, all learning coaches, 14 to 19 networks, local managers and First Campus will be asked to sign a Learning Contract. This document will clearly outline all parties’ responsibilities and expectations. The contract will help to clarify such issues as time allocations, timescales and available learning coach support.

The Learning Coaches pilot is being delivered via First Campus, SE Wales Reaching Wider Partnership. First Campus is a unique collaboration between five higher education institutions and seven further education institutions in South-East Wales.
