Whether you’ve finished the course or you still have modules to complete, if would like to keep in touch with fellow learning coaches across Wales, why not register to access the Members section of the website? Find it by clicking on ‘Login’ at the top right of the screen.
It contains forums where you can discuss the course or life as a learning coach plus a practice forum where you can post test messages.You will also have access to PDFs of all the module readers for a limited time after you finish the course.
To register, contact Marian at , providing an email address that you don’t share with anyone else.

I have recently been employed as a learning coach for CCBC.I wish to enquire, as to any other students from the modules, have been employed and if so was your salary set by the level of accreditation achieved via the course, ie recognised, lower grade & accredited ,higher grade or was this set by your employer.

Don’t know whether it was a direct result of the course.... but certainly there are more learning coaches out there now! Caerphilly took on 15 more - on top of the 6 they had already. I know that there are several individual schools that are now employing learning coaches. Also, I know that several learning coaches have now got a budget from their employer, that they did not have last year.
From what I gather, there is a total mix of pay and conditions out there.

Hopefully too, this training will have improved everyone`s CV and this should help in any job application be it in teaching, careers or whatever.
I really like the idea of everyone being able to keep in touch like this. As one of the trainers, I found the Learning Coaches to be a great bunch of people and have made a lot of new friends. I am looking forward to meeting up again at Llan`dod.
Also I hope we can all use this forum to help one another out if we get stuck-we may be Learning Coaches but even we need help sometimes.
