25th Jan 2008
Welsh Assembly Government have just closed their books to submissions to tender for a three month contract to train the trainer. This contract is due to start later this month and complete towards the end of April 2008.
The Welsh Assembly envisages that all of the 22 14-19 networks will nominate two people to train as learning coach trainers. During this February to April period, nominees will have to complete an application and selection procedure and then undertake 10 days of training. The successful trainers will then be able to work closely with their network or region, and deliver the Learning Coach core modules. This will give networks freedom over delivery schedules and numbers, although the training programme will still require 100% attendance, and delivery as prescribed during the train the trainer course.
The results of the tender are expected on 25 January – we will keep you informed regarding the outcome.
